Workgroups Overview

The Massachusetts Comprehensive Cancer Prevention and Control Program engages in long-term planning, following guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for comprehensive cancer control. Work groups are organized according to priorities outlined in the state plan. Each work group is comprised of cancer experts, cancer survivors and other stakeholders. These workgroups evaluate data, identify gaps, formulate goals and inform strategies consistent with established evidence. At this time, work groups are addressing Disparities & Health Equity, Colorectal Cancer, which is aligned under both secondary prevention and early detection, and Survivorship.
